Gene Lunger leads executives in Ashley Furniture Industries corporately owned retail HomeStores in the Eastern United States. Responsible for all aspects of this $500M+ growing business model, Gene has expertise in leadership development, retail education, change management and the development and execution of organizational strategy. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Gene started in retail as a sales representative with a Waterbed City in the 80s. Amassing over $10M in personal sales, Gene ran retail stores for many years before taking on a VP Sales leadership role with City Furniture in South Florida, also and Ashley HomeStore Licensee. With 30+ years of retail experience, Gene took on his current leadership role with Ashley on January 1, 2015.
